If you want to know a little bit more about the girl behind the camera, you are in the right spot. My name is Devan Elizabeth Whitney, the names behind the initials! I am a Shakespeare fanatic, animal lover, and avid traveler! The first Shakespeare play I was introduced to was Romeo & Juliet. That play is largely responsible for the hopeless romantic I am and the photographer I became. If you haven't guessed already, yes, I am 100% a type 4 on the enneagram. I find beauty in the darkness, prefer cloudy days to sunny days, and can often be found listening to Bon Iver or Simon & Garfunkel.
     
  I believe my photography style reflects who I am as an artist, and how I experience the world. With being a romantic at heart and loving the beauty of darkness, I am drawn to edit with dark and moody tones. These tones that I create for the moments I capture are meant to draw out all of the emotions that were present the day of your session. My goal is for my work to stir feelings of passion, romance, and wanderlust. I believe that art and beauty are found within the frozen moments of authenticity. I decided to specialize in elopement and portraiture adventure photography to be able to capture the beauty of love, both romantic and of self. My love for travel, the beautiful national parks, and nature in general also inspires what I chose to specialize in. The best way to capture emotion and authenticity is through adventure and having a great time!

    I have many interests outside of the arts as well. I absolutely love animals. I have 4 adorable cats and a little dog to complete my little family (Caroline, Moo, Stormy, Matilda, and Saint Francis). When I'm not spending time with them, I am usually out hiking and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest and beyond. I love to travel any and everywhere, and through all of my travels I have found the PNW to be the most beautiful place I have ever been to. This is why I decided to move across the country from Georgia and call this beautiful place my home. I am thrilled to be able to live here and capture love stories in this beautiful corner of the world.
